ЁЯХК️1. Ruth's Decision — "Where You Go, I Will Go" (Ch. 1)

The Famine and Departure

A man named Elimelech from Bethlehem moves to Moab with his wife Naomi and two sons.

Tragedy strikes: Elimelech and both sons die, leaving Naomi and her two Moabite daughters-in-law, Ruth and Orpah.

Naomi's Bitterness

Naomi decides to return to Bethlehem, saying:

"Call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt bitterly with me."
— Ruth 1:20

Ruth's Loyalty

Ruth refuses to leave Naomi and declares one of the most beautiful vows in the Bible:

"Where you go, I will go; where you stay, I will stay.
Your people will be my people, and your God my God."
— Ruth 1:16

They return to Bethlehem just as the barley harvest begins — a divine sign of new beginnings ЁЯМ╛.

ЁЯМ╛2. Ruth's Service — "Gleaning in Grace" (Ch. 2)

Ruth Meets Boaz

To provide for Naomi, Ruth goes to glean grain in the fields (a law that allowed the poor to gather leftover crops).

She "happens" to glean in the field of Boaz — a wealthy relative of Elimelech.

"Her steps were guided by God's unseen hand."

Boaz's Kindness

Boaz notices Ruth's humble character and protects her.

He tells his workers: "Let her glean even among the sheaves — and don't rebuke her."

Ruth goes home with an abundance of grain, symbolizing grace overflowing.

ЁЯТН3. Ruth's Proposal — "Spread Your Wings Over Me" (Ch. 3)

Naomi's Plan

Naomi instructs Ruth to go to Boaz at night on the threshing floor — a symbolic act of requesting marriage and redemption under Jewish law.

Ruth's Humble Request

Ruth lies at Boaz's feet and says:

"Spread your garment over your servant, for you are a kinsman-redeemer."
— Ruth 3:9

Boaz is deeply moved by her purity, faith, and loyalty.

The Kinsman-Redeemer

In Hebrew law, a goel (kinsman-redeemer) had the right to:

  • ✅ Buy back family land,
  • ✅ Rescue relatives from poverty,
  • ✅ Marry a widow to preserve her husband's lineage.

Boaz agrees to redeem Ruth — but there is another man who has first claim.

ЁЯСС4. Ruth's Reward — "From Widow to Royal Lineage" (Ch. 4)

Boaz Redeems Ruth

At the city gate, Boaz legally redeems Ruth before witnesses, buying back Elimelech's land and marrying her.

The story that began with famine and funerals ends with faith and fulfillment.

A New Beginning

Ruth and Boaz have a son named Obed.

Naomi, once bitter, now holds her grandson with joy.

"Blessed be the LORD, who has not left you without a redeemer!"
— Ruth 4:14

The Line of the Messiah

Obed → Jesse → David → Jesus Christ.

This Moabite woman becomes the great-grandmother of King David, and part of the ancestry of the Messiah!
