  • Colossae was a small city in Asia Minor known for trade and philosophy.
  • The church was likely founded by Epaphras, one of Paul's co-workers (1:7).
  • False teachers (a mix of Greek philosophy, Jewish rituals, and angel worship) began spreading confusion, teaching that faith in Christ wasn't enough.

Paul writes to say: ЁЯТО "Christ is everything. Nothing needs to be added."
